Police have confirmed there was no fatal crash in Chichester after a website appeared to claim that three people lost their lives in a pile-up on Wednesday.

The article with the headline: “3 DEAD AND 7 CRITICAL IN MULTI-CAR CRASH IN CHICHESTER”, claims that three people were killed and seven remain in a critical condition following a multi-car crash, which it says was confirmed by police.

The story alleges: “The driver of the out-of-control car was ejected and thrown approximately 50 feet south of the accident scene. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.”
