LETTER: Principled stand

How refreshing to see an aspiring politician prepared to stand up for his principles and not follow blindly the diktat of his political masters (‘Roger Arthur intends to oust Francis Maude’, County Times August 1).

Well done Sir. My own opinion of politicians is I would not trust them to push a loaded barrow of muck, they only tip it over and I have to clear it up.

Then they blame the barrow manfacturer, or the loader, or abnormal weather conditions but never themselves!
