Pavement are for pedestrians

Cyclists. Those that ride on the pavement. I don’t mean little children who wouldn’t be safe on the road. I don’t mean the Lycra clad militants, they are a whole other story.
No, I mean those that are old enough to know better. I’ve known since I was young, along time ago, it is wrong to ride on the pavement!

Hide AdI won’t list the number of near misses I’ve had when walking, there have been too many over the years. Don’t these people realise how dangerous it is to do it? Plus, they will not defer to pedestrians... the people pavements are for.
The other day I saw four elderly people wearing those stupid looking helmets congregate outside a house with their bicycles and set off on their way to who knows where... on the pavement.
Highway Code. Page 22. No. 64: You MUST NOT cycle on a pavement. Laws HA 1835 sect 72 & R(S)A 1984 sect129.
It’s there for all too see and has been for a long time.
