Worthing continue strong start
They beat Sussex rivals Eastbourne 5-2 after they started brightly and took the lead after only five minutes when Andrea Catlow received the ball from a penalty corner and fired home.
Eastbourne attacking opportunities were short-lived, although three consecutive saves from player-of-the-match Claire Goodger kept Worthing ahead at half-time.

Hide AdWorthing started the second half brightly and Lily Ross-Thomas netted from a penalty corner on 45 minutes and Shelley Formstone then made it 3-0 on 50 minutes after a move involving captain Gemma Taylor and Charlotte Waters.
Eastbourne pulled a goal back when a penalty corner went in, via a deflection off Alex Catlow, before Eastbourne made it 3-2 after netting from another penalty corner.
Within three minutes, Worthing made things more comfortable when Formstone netted with great precision after great work from Taylor.
Worthing then made sure of the win on 68 minutes when Waters was on hand to tap home at the back post from a penalty corner.
