Conservatives select new leader in Brighton and Hove
Cllr Bell was re-elected to the Woodingdean ward in the council elections last week, and will now lead the party's 14 councillors on Brighton and Hove City Council.
Previous leader Cllr Tony Janio stepped down after what he called a 'kicking' in the local elections last week.

Hide AdKristy Adams, the former parliamentary candidate for the Conservatives in Hove, tweeted: "Congratulations to @SKJBell chosen by his colleagues to lead the conservatives on Brighton & Hove Council."
The Labour leader Cllr Daniel Yates is also set to step down, despite his party winning the most seats on the council.
