Runners remember tragic friend

A 25-year-old Heathfield man finished the Great North Run in one hour, 28 minutes, 16 seconds, putting him in 538th place out of 20,000 competitors.

Charlie Butcher from Sheepsetting Lane was a member of the 190-strong team led by Sir Christopher Chataway which aimed to raise funds for Vicky's Water Project.

The project was the brainchild of Adam Chataway, eldest son of Sir Christopher Chataway.
