Crawley Town play just their second league game of the year on Saturday, as they travel to Cambridge United.

The Reds have played just one league game this year with that being a win at Bolton right at the start of the month. Since then, the FA Cup and COVID cases at Crawley have seen the Reds not able to play in the league and consequently drop down the table but have games in hand on many teams.

Their opponents Cambridge United are enjoying a brilliant season and are flying high at the top of the league and looking for automatic promotion.

They were in a similar position when they visited the People’s Pension Stadium where the Reds came from behind and won 2-1, courtesy of goals from Max Watters and Tom Nichols.

The U’s will be looking for revenge at the Abbey Stadium and come into the game in great form, which has pushed them back to top of the league after a bit of blip earlier in the season. Paul Mullin’s goals are imperative to their success, scoring 18 league goals this season, prior to Tuesday’s fixtures. Cambridge have played some very entertaining football this season with them scoring plenty of goals, hence Mullin’s impressive goal tally.

They also have one of the best home records in the league picking up 25 points from 13 games on home soil.
